Old, me ?
A cheque we wrote to the school was rejected by the bank because "the date was not clearly written" and the 2012 could easily be taken for a 1012. Argh, I haven't realized we looked so old !
Some additional info: Yamīn ad-Dawlah Abul-Qāṣim Maḥmūd Ibn Sebüktegīn, more commonly known as Mahmud of Ghazni, ruled over the northwestern Indian subcontinent from 997 to 1030. He was a religious zealot and considered himself as a "jihadi". I haven't found any mention of his financial difficulties or attempts to forge cheques to the British School.
